Class 5 unseen passage

Passage 1

Last week, our school organized a field trip to the local zoo. It was a much-awaited trip, and all of us were excited to see the animals up close.

We started early in the morning, and it took us almost an hour to reach the zoo. As we entered, we were greeted by the sound of chirping birds and the sight of a giant elephant munching on some hay.

Our teacher divided us into groups and assigned a volunteer guide to each group. Our guide was a friendly lady who gave us lots of information about the animals and their habitats. We saw lions, tigers, bears, and monkeys swinging from branch to branch.

One of the most exciting parts of the trip was when we saw the penguins swimming in their enclosure. They looked so cute and funny as they waddled around on their feet.

We also got to see some reptiles like snakes and crocodiles, and our guide told us about their unique characteristics and how they adapt to their environments.

After spending a few hours walking around and observing the animals, we took a break to have our packed lunches. We enjoyed eating under the shade of a tree and sharing our experiences of the trip so far.

As the day came to an end, we made our way back to the school bus, feeling tired but happy. It was a fantastic experience, and we learned so much about the different animals and their habitats.

Overall, it was an unforgettable trip, and we can't wait for our next adventure!
